Skirting boards now done. Georgina has also decided that we need yet another pushchair/pram thingy, so has bought one on ebay.

SWG
Would have blogged yesterday, but spent all evening playing SWG instead :)
Non-Event?
Michael Howard has a good phrase here to go with Teflon Tony… Introducing the credit card chancellor! Apparently our government will be borrowing ?37 billion this year – 25% more than he estimated. Then, to add to the insult, borrowing’s going to remain high. I suppose that we’ll all be paying for the “improved” public services for some time to come.
Having read through it all though I can’t actually see what he’s actually done other than tweak a few odds and sods around the edges. Did I miss something or is this year’s budget a non-event for the average person?
Urgh!
To misquote some famous lyrics:
“I’m cycling in the rain
Just cycling in the rain
What a glorious feeling
I’m happy again
I’m laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun’s in my heart
And I’m ready for work
For work
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
I’ll ride down the lane
With a happy refrain
Cycling, cycling in the rain
In the rain.”
Side Tracked
Here at work we try to schedule our tasks for each day. Well, when I say we, I mean my boss! In general it works reasonably well, but not today… Today I got sidetracked by a HelpDesk enquiry that on further investigation showed that a section of the admin system hadn’t been working since the site went live!
oops.
Still, I’ll just mark the rest of today’s tasks as “to be done tomorrow” :)
Lunch!
We had Sunday lunch at Lucy & Si’s and it was very nice. Si cooked up a treat with lamb, potatoes and lots of veg. Ella is an absolutely gorgeous little girl too.
Contrast
What a contrast! Today dawned bright and sunny and by the afternoon, I was cutting the grass! Also got a second coat of paint on Ben’s walls which was good.
Georgina & Jon have been making apple turnover this afternoon and it smells absolutely gorgeous!
What?!?!?
I thought Spring was coming…
Kangeroo!
Jacky & Sam came over today after their trip to USA & Austrailia. Jon was thrilled because they brought a cuddly kangeroo for him!
Microsoft's Tactics
Fascinating read.
